Seeking an engaging and dynamic role where you can contribute significantly to ensuring the safety and efficiency of highway traffic? SPR Traffic Services LP is the place for you! We are newly expanding to the Lower Mainland and excited to offer positions for Traffic Control Persons (TCP’s) to those eager to become a part of our team in Surrey (Port Kells), BC. 

SPR is a full-service traffic management provider serving freeways, municipal roads, as well as remote site construction areas. We strive to maintain the highest standard in safety; ensuring our customers, the public, and our employees return home safely each day.

What you bring:

  • Possess a valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract
  • Valid BCCSA (BC Construction Safety Alliance) Certification or equivalent traffic control ticket
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working various shifts (day, afternoon, night) in all weather conditions.
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic and willingness to perform job duties in all weather conditions.
  • An ability to work in a collaborative team environment, often without supervision.
  • Able to work flexible hours and on-call shifts.
  • Adaptability and openness to cross-training opportunities to meet evolving job demands.
  • First-aid ticket level 1, 2, or 3 is an asset.

This role involves a range of job duties, which include, but are not limited to:

  • Control traffic during road maintenance activities and in emergency situations
  • Ensure safety measures are followed and report any safety concerns or equipment malfunctions
  • Maintain vehicle and equipment by greasing and checking fluid levels
  • Establish work zones safely and clearly using appropriate signage and delineation devices
